Dianne was born on February 2nd, 1918 in New York City to the parents of Eli and Dora Lipschitz. After her father died when she was four, she lived in New York City with her mother until the mid '30s when she moved to Chicago where she met and married her husband Harry in 1938. As an only child, she and her mother, affectionately called Bubby Dora by all, were inseparable. After their divorce in 1958, she went to work in the reservation department of the Morrison Hotel in Chicago. In the early '60s she moved to the San Jose area where she held several jobs including several years at San Jose State University. At SJSU she served as a house mother in a sorority, an administrator at the faculty club and in the admissions office. After her retirement in the late '70s she moved to the East Bay in San Pablo to be closer to her younger son Ron and his family. She spent the rest of her life there. She is survived by her sons Lee and Ronald; her respective daughter’s in law, Sandy and Shelley Wolfe; her grandchildren: Stacy Lott, Dana Wilcox, Dara Royer, Rachael Lopes; their respective spouses, Jeff Wilcox, Brent Royer, and Nat Lopes; her great grandchildren: Jaclyn Armstrong and her husband Henry Armstrong, Jake Wilcox and Erin Wilcox; Nina and Marley Royer; her cousins: Jack Heifitz, Marsha Barton and several loving nieces and nephews: Judy Romano, Michael Amstadter, Ira Amstadter, Fred Amstadter, Marcy Hess, Lori Lapping, Steven Fine, Shari Boucha, Felice Posmantuer, Shelly Sutherland and Bonnie Roter. ********************************************************************************************************************************************************** THIS SERVICE WILL BE BROADCAST LIVE (WEATHER PERMITTING) STARTING AT 10:30 AM,WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 6, 2010.
